A month full of racing in August kicks off this weekend with the FireKeepers Casino 312 at Michigan International Speedway on Saturday. This will be the first race of a double-header weekend at Michigan, as the Cup Series drivers will get back in the cars on Sunday and do it all over again. Both races are scheduled to be 312 miles (156 laps) and, as of Thursday afternoon, the forecast looks clear as far as rain–although we have had pop up showers surprise us in the Irish Hills of Michigan before.
