To the surprise of probably nobody, we had some drama during qualifying here at Texas Motor Speedway on Friday. First, Alex Bowman lost control of his #88 Chevrolet and put it into the wall, bringing out a caution with many cars on track. After that, with four minutes left, it was a rush to get back on track, and Clint Bowyer had trouble getting off of pit road due to Ryan Newman being in the way on pit road. Newman wasn’t penalized, though, which caused Bowyer to cause qualifying an “epic failure.” In the end, there were a lot of big name drivers that didn’t make it to the final round.
Please note: Alex Bowman will go to a backup car and start from the rear on Sunday but will still be scored from his 24th-place starting spot in Fantasy NASCAR games such as DraftKings, FanDuel, Slingshot Fantasy Auto, etc.
