Qualifying for the Daytona 500 was held on Sunday, but it really only solidified two spots for the 2019 Great American Race: 1st and 2nd. William Byron is locked in as the pole sitter for this year’s Daytona 500, and his teammate, Alex Bowman, will start next to him in 2nd. The rest of the starting lineup for the Daytona 500 will be set on Thursday evening with the results of the two Duel races.
Duel #1 will set the inside lane (odd numbers) for the start of the Daytona 500, while Duel #2 will set the outside lane (even numbers). The first race is set to start at 7:00 pm ET on Thursday with the second starting closely after the first one concludes.
