William Byron destroyed his car early in the session and had to bring out the backup for the rest of the weekend. He will have to drop to the rear for the start of the race but will still be scored from where he qualified (22nd) in Fantasy NASCAR leagues. Soon after, Kyle Larson got into the wall, and although the damage didn’t look extensive, the #42 team brought out the backup car as well. Larson will start from the rear but be scored from 15th, his original qualifying position.
