Starting position doesn’t mean much when it comes to superspeedway races, but it can’t hurt to start further up front and get a better pit stall selection while you’re at it. This weekend, due to lightning, qualifying was cancelled by NASCAR since they still had to get the cars through tech, so the starting lineup for the Coke Zero Sugar 400 on Saturday night is determined by the rule book.

Hey Jordan,
When we have a race without qualifying, and the lineup is determined by points leaders, does the +/- pts by finishing track position vs starting position still apply?
Thanks for all you do
